In high school, I started a memo to write down thoughts and emotions that I couldn't speak out loud. This memo is only available to me, so that I can be fully honest. Over time, I found inspiration in this practice and continued to write down my present thoughts and emotions. I sorted these thoughts by categories and transformed them into a folded canvas accordion. To decorated the surface, I used imagery and mirror writing that related to each theme. The accordion can be read as a small book or extended into a full page. I made a book box for each of them as protection so that they could be portable and serve as my amulet. My memo is my safe ground and now they have a second life.
